On classic Mustangs, windlace is often missing entirely or so rotted that it's useless. Most of the time, just replacing it is the right decision. Manufactured out of vinyl with a metal core, it provides insulation and sound isolation.

Windlace typically comes in lengths of 20 feet, which will fit every Mustang coupe and fastback, while 10-foot sections of Mustang windlace is available to fit convertibles. Installing windlace is a relatively easy process. It wraps around the frame of your doors. It's held in place with several clips and runs from the kick panels to the rear quarter trim panel.
