This vinyl convertible top boot is designed to fit over the opening where the convertible top boot rest when it’s down. The Velcro gets mounted behind the rear seats of your Mustang. This high quality convertible top boot is an excellent replacement for your missing or damaged '94 through '04 boot. It's available in all factory colors including: black, dark charcoal, dark red, saddle, and white.
While this convertible top boot is a replacement for your factory one, it doesn't install quite like the original. For starters, the very front edge of the boot includes this Velcro strip for installation. Moving further back it does have the same double layer of material over the top mechanism itself to protect the vinyl and them the edge does use the same plastic clips as the factory. The rest of it's going to be held on by screws that are included with it. I'm going to show you how they work.
The kit includes a complete set of snaps, studs, and screws to hold your convertible top boot on. These screws here are going to go across the back of your convertible top frame, basically behind the window, between the window and the trunk lid on the black trim panel. These will go on the quarter trim panel itself, then the snaps themselves will go in the convertible top boot and snap in place when installed. The kit also includes the necessary tool for installing the snaps.
